Operation Christmas Cheer 2007
With the holiday season upon us it is with great pleasure that I announce the kickoff of Operation Christmas Cheer 2007….and I’m asking for participation of ALL the NTS Faithful. The concept behind this is simple. Go out and buy a Christmas gift for a child then donate to whoever is collecting gifts in your area Toys For Tots, Angel Tree, Sgt Santa whoever. TRD always donates bicycles but I’m not asking you too. I asking you to spend what you can afford to spend…whether it’s a bike, a Barbie doll, or a matchbox car. The price don’t matter, it’s the act that matters. It’s about making a difference in a child’s life. I feel very good about myself on Christmas morning knowing that somewhere out there a little boy and a little girl has a new bike because of me. It is a very satisfying feeling. To know that you made a difference in some child’s life when you didn’t have to is a really AWESOME feeling. And that reminds me of The Star Fish Story which is a story about how one person can make a difference. It goes like this….
One night a great storm blew up at a beach that washed thousands and thousands of starfish up on the shore. When the morning came an old man went for a walk on the beach where he found a little boy throwing the starfish back into the ocean. The old man said “Son what are you doing?” The boy said, “I’m saving starfish.” The old man then said, “Son starfish can only survive a few hours out of water. There are thousands and thousands of starfish here. You can’t possibly make a difference.” The little boy picked up a starfish, held it up for the old man to see then flung it back into the ocean. Mister he said, to that starfish I made a difference.
And that’s what I’m asking you to do my peeps…. make a difference in a child’s life this year by participating in Operation Christmas Cheer.

A couple of weeks ago, I won the lottery as I supported a school class’ fleemarket (also finding me some good clothes; other story;).
It is a doll and …well, another doll. And it is soon Christmas, and I do not know any children that would be happy receiving these..
Not one moment I was thinking of giving to someone I do not know personally. That, I would have remembered just as it was too late to go through with it practically.
Thank you, for being a light in my world and reminding me who I am this moment.
Besides being absolutely lovely and make me laugh, you also rock.
)
Hugs.
Pascagoula is working hard getting presents wrapped up for Operation Christmas Cheer. 36 families are going to be so happy this year. I still can’t believe it. Before I met you I organized on my own a relief effort for the Ohio floods, of last June. My hometown, and my mothers, town of Findly where totally flooded out, clothes, and can goods were sent in. It really shook me up quite a bit. But things are on track again. So here I am, little Santa elf, wrapping gifts, paper cuts suck, it’s a small price to pay for the families that wanted to forget Christmas this year…. sea ya soon Pascagoula…..
Doc, you’re a frickin’ genius!! This is a terrifici initiative and you’ve given us some good ideas here.
We’re on it!! Stay tuned…. Floyd Factor
